The Learner is provided with User Name and Password to the e Learning portal, which enables access to the interactive Online Screen Guide; the Learner Guide (pdf); the Assessment Guide; and the Quick Reference Guide; to study and complete in your own time.
Classroom Delivery
Study in a face to face classroom environment; supported by our Trainer and Assessor, Learner Guide, Assessment Guide; Practical Activities and Class Discussion. Partial completion of Assessment Guides can be achieved in class time with balance of Assessments completed in your own time.
Time Commitment
Nominal minimum hours of study plus individual research and on the job application is 600 - 2,400 hours (normally over a period of 6-24 months); OR approximately 10 hours research and study per week (face-to-face/online) for 6 months from commencement. During the balance of the time, learners will be engaged in work-based/simulated work-based (portfolio building) activities and assessments.

Course Structure
The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety requires the completion of ten (10) units, consisting of five (5) core units and five (5) electives.
5 Core Units:
BSBWHS412 Assist with workplace compliance with WHS laws
BSBWHS413 Contribute to implementation and maintainence of WHS consultation and participation processes
BSBWHS414 Contribute to WHS risk management
BSBWHS415 Contribute to implementing WHS management systems
BSBWHS416 Contribute to workplace incident response
Elective Choices:
3 units must be from Group A listed in the Packaging Rules
2 units may be from Group A, Group B units listed in the Packaging Rules; or any endorsed Training Package or accredited course at the same qualification level;
1 elective unit may be selected from a Certificate III or Diploma from any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
