Course Overview

This unit of competency specifies the skills and knowledge required to remove components from single storey buildings and structures using basic demolition techniques. It includes the preparation of the site for the demolition process and the removal of components.

The unit is suitable for those with basic skills and knowledge undertaking routine work tasks under the direction of more experienced workers.

Course Content

This course includes training and information on:

Plan and prepare for basic demolition
Prepare demolition site and erect safety equipment
Remove building components
Check and store tools and equipment

Delivery Location

This course may also be delivered on request on-site at clients location. Please note the appropriate equipment must be supplied by client.

Pre-Requisite Information

  • Demonstrate Basic English Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills
  • Be over 18 years of age
  • Work boots
  • CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
  • CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (or equivalent)

Note: The pre-requisite unit CPCCWHS2001 can be added to the Training course at $350/unit and includes an additional 4 hours of training and assessment on the day prior.

Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive a Statement of Attainment with the unit 'CPCCCM2009 Carry out basic demolition'.

Training Momentum Pty Ltd deliver and assess this course under a third-party agreement with Elite Training per RTO #51199. D2E Training will issue your certificate upon successful completion of your course.

Expiration

This is a nationally recognised unit of competency which does not expire however the industry recommendation is to complete a refresher course every 3 years.
