Injury Management & Return to Work for Program Admin Co-ordinators/Assistants

The course is directed at Administration based workers who have responsibility for processing Injury Management, Workers Compensation claims and / or managing Return to work programs for injured workers in their organisation. This training develops knowledge and understanding of the rights and obligations for all parties under the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act of WA, with reference to the new WHS Legislation.

This course includes the likely process flows and typical forms used, when handling claims.

Course Content

  • Knowledge and application of the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act
  • Consultation and communication with Stakeholders - Injured Employee, Employee's Doctor, Insurer / Broker,  Workplace Managers and HSE
  • Attain, Analyse and manage information relevant to the claims and processes
  • Completing appropriate documentation, record keeping and notes
  • Claim process and RTW program work flows
  • Management of Workers Compensation Claims and Return to Work programs
A Certificate of Attendance is issued on successful completion.
